Mathematica Developer Program--Advance Your Ideas through Wolfram Research

Mathematica software and other Wolfram technologies are used worldwide, by millions of enthusiastic users. The pool of organizations and companies that are searching for ways to incorporate these tools is always expanding, fueled in part by the originality of users like you. Do you have an idea for a software package, book, courseware material, or other work that would be useful to a cross-section of our users? Consider the questions below to assist you with your direction:

Have you created a program, package, book, or collection of worksheets related to Mathematica technology, or do you have an idea that involves a Mathematica product?

Does the idea of receiving income from your product appeal to you?

Are you willing to educate yourself about and devote time to non-technical issues such as pricing, promotion, licensing, and documentation?

Are you willing to provide technical support to users of your product?

Do you have clear ownership of the intellectual property and the actual code or text you want to market, or can you negotiate a written agreement with your other authors that will allow you to participate in this program?

Are you free to sell your work? Some organizations have guidelines limiting your ability to commercialize your work. For example, some employers have policies that claim the intellectual property of anything you develop while you are an employee of that company. Some academic institutions actively encourage the commercialization of research but impose conditions about profit sharing with the school. You will need to determine whether you are able and willing to meet the necessary conditions.

Submit your article or package to The Mathematica Journal or the Mathematica Information Center, making it available to the entire Mathematica community. Another option is to participate in our training and consulting programs with Wolfram Education Group.

Still have questions? Drop us a line, we look forward to hearing from you!
